Training and Development

The training and development of our people is crucial to our growth and success. From comprehensive induction through to tool box talks and on-the-job learning, training plays a critical role in the ongoing development of all our employees.

As an Investor in People, we ensure that each individual employee receives continuous training, supervision, support, motivation and reward so that our customers are supported by dedicated, professional and skilled people.

We provide nationally recognised industry qualifications to enhance our employees skill sets and give them a platform on which they can develop and progress their career, including BICSc Level 1 and NVQ Level 2 in Cleaning and Support Services and Team Leading and Management qualifications for our supervisory and management personnel. We can also provide additional training in customer care and general security awareness, to further enhance the skills of our staff and add value to our service.

Our staff are trained in line with the specific requirements of the contract for which they work, and we match our core training modules to client and site specifications. Our aim is to build and develop our employees who are steadfast in their delivery of our services to our clients and their premises. All training is fully documented and we use a bespoke training record system, Autoscribe, to manage all aspects of employee training across the business, to ensure staff training records are current and compliant. It also ensures our employees are kept fully up-to-date will any changes to Legislation as course modules are automatically updated.

All new employees will undergo our Induction programme as well as site specific induction training that will be geared towards individual needs and tailored to suit contract specific requirements. Our induction procedure allows for the identification of any shortfalls in skills as we carry out a training needs analysis as part of all the mobilisation procedure for all new contracts as standard, the results of which will determine the induction training for that particular contract.

Our training procedures have made a real difference to the motivation and morale of our staff and played a large part in reducing overall staff turnover in recent years as well as allowing our employees to develop their career, with an increasing number of promotions being made internally.
