Our officer training procedure ensures continual development, with the majority of training completed on-site and in line with day-to-day duties. Our training programmes are developed and implemented around our clients' requirements, guaranteeing that the security personnel we provide are fully skilled and knowledgeable for the contract on which they work.
We have spearheaded the introduction of a number of sector specific training qualifications to meet the different and unique needs of our clients operating in particular industries including defence, property management and warehousing.
As well as continuous training, we provide a programme of induction training for all our new employees, to welcome them into our business and make sure they have the necessary skills and knowledge of the site on which they will work right from the start.
All our training is backed up by continuous performance monitoring and competency assessments, carried out across all of contracts as standard. What’s more, we carry out a range of resilience testing measures including mystery visits and scenario testing to not only enhance our overall service delivery, but also to help us identify any further training needs.
Similarly, the development of our operational management team is integral to our success with all principal management personnel achieving the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Level 5 qualification and all our junior managers holding the ILM Level 3 qualification in team leading. We hold development assessment centres across our teams and implement bespoke individual training plans to ensure genuine career progression. More than half of our management appointments have been made from within our organisation.
As training plays a key role to our operation, we include it as a Key Performance Indicator across each Service Level Agreement we have in place with our clients. It also forms a large part of the overall contract roadmap we set in place at the start of each new contract.
