Cordant Security has successfully increased its ACS score from 142 to 161 in its most recent audit. The Approved Contract Scheme Pacesetters membership is made up of Contract Security Guarding Companies who are in the top 15% benchmarking and achievement levels set by the Security Industry Authority Approved Contractor Scheme.
In past years Cordant Security regularly scored in the 140’s, which is a significant achievement, but due to a continued push to improve and the start of a number of new initiatives Cordant has boosted its score significantly.
There are over 3500 security companies registered with the SIA and only 831 hold the ACS status. This score puts us in the top 1% of security companies in the UK.
But that’s not all.
The most significant achievement from the audit is the award of the standard ISO 45001:2018 (Health and Safety). We are one of the first security companies to ever receive this standard which shows our continued drive to improve and innovate whilst showing how important safety is to us.
During the audit we were also under close examination for our ISO 9001:2015 (Quality), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental) which was the 3 year recertification, which subject to technical review has been recommended.
During these audits we visited 20 locations, spoke to 42 licence holders and 15 members of management. So a real representative sample across the business.
Mark Elton, Group Quality Risk and Compliance Director at Cordant commented: “Congratulations to everyone involved across the business. This is a fantastic achievement that we should all be proud of. However the challenge does not stop, we can always improve and get better. We will always strive to improve and make our work as safe as we possibly can.”
