Job Title - Operations Manager Salary - £30,000 per annumLocation - South of England, covering a large area from Derby to Crawley and Croydon and across to Bristol  Cordant Security are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to join our successful Warehouse and Distribution team in the South of England, covering a large area from Derby to Crawley and Croydon and across to Bristol.This role is to manage a portfolio of Warehouse and Distribution Centre security contracts. Meet all SLA’s and personally ensure the delivery of an efficient, comprehensive and dynamic security service. You will manage the day-to-day running of security contracts and maintain regular client contact. It will be necessary to ensure client satisfaction therefore, interpersonal, communication and rapport building skills are key individual attributes. You will also be responsible for the welfare and performance of their security personnel. As an Operations Manager you will be required to work in accordance with the operational demands of the business which can mean short notice site deployment and will involve undertaking a number of site visits, some of these visits may be at weekends and at night. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Maintain client satisfaction and effective security provision to the contracts across the sector.Regularly review the performance and development along with the welfare needs of the security team.Provide line management responsibility to site managers/supervisors and security officers, including all aspects of disciplinary, grievance and welfare issues under the guidance of the Human Resources Manager.Ensure that regular client contact is maintained via face-to-face meetings and that strong working relationships are forged. A customer focused outlook and approach is vital to guarantee client confidence and trust in our service and the Cordant brand.Regularly conduct site visits and progress reports to discuss issues and agree solutions promptly.Conduct regular 1 to 1 meetings with security staff to appraise their performance and to inform them of developments within the company.Liaise regularly with the Recruitment Manager on all recruitment issues and ensure up to date information about vacancies is readily available.Regularly review client requirements and feedback and discuss all issues arising with the Sector Regional Manager and the Sector Director as appropriate.Participate in joint presentations with the Sales Team for new tenders or tender reviews.Have a good understanding of the portfolio P & L account.Manage the performance, discipline and welfare of all security staff.Maintain appropriate records, be competent in the use of IT and both the Google and MS software platforms and have very good written and verbal skills.Where applicable ensure the mandatory administration deadlines are completed.In addition to these functions employees are required to undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required or requested by senior management. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: - Ensure that Health & Safety procedures are in place and risk assessments are reviewed regularly in accordance with the assignment instructions.Provide timely reports and reviews of contracts as appropriate and ensure that the Sector Regional Manager/ Sector Director are aware of any issues.Evaluate client satisfaction through surveys and feedback received and react accordingly and in a timely manner.Where necessary conduct investigations (security breaches, performance and accidents) and security reviews on and off site.Conduct security risk assessments of sites and produce appropriate reports to include observations and recommendations for the client. PERSON SPECIFICATION: - Proven management and operational experience within the security industry.Must be acutely aware of the client’s needs and totally customer focused.Excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills.Must be motivated, flexible and diligent and have a safety-first attitude. Possess excellent time management, general administration and good change management skills.Must take ownership, be personally accountable and completely confident when dealing with clients.  They must also be proactive, enthusiastic and 100% a team player.Be committed to equal opportunities and possess a positive and sensitive approach to the needs of the staff and clients.Valid SIA license Full UK Driving License KEY INCENTIVES:-           £30,000 per annumCompany car, mobile phone and laptop28 days annual leave per year inclusive of bank holidaysFull and ongoing training with a view for career developmentCompany Contributed Work Place PensionGet instant access to our financial wellbeing benefit – Wagestream.  Cordant Security Ltd is a nationwide company with a diverse employee team and wewelcome applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates.We have opportunities available across the UK in a variety of roles and offer genuinepaths to career progression and a range of employee benefits.
